ABOUT THIS SPECIAL ISSUE
This special issue aims to explore how entrepreneurship education can evolve through experiential, network-based, and contextually adaptive pedagogies. It seeks to bridge the persistent divide between entrepreneurial learning theory — grounded in experience, reflection, and social interaction — and the practice of entrepreneurship education, which often remains bound to linear, business-plan models.
By exploring global and precarious contexts such as automation, digital gig work, and economic uncertainty, the issue will curate cross-disciplinary research that redefines entrepreneurship education as a socially embedded, experiential process. The special issue will bring together scholars, educators, and policymakers to propose frameworks that mimic how entrepreneurs actually learn — through communities of practice, networks, and experiential ecosystems — and seeks to demonstrate how these approaches can be embedded in higher education curricula worldwide.
SCOPE & THEME AREAS
We invite submissions addressing (but not limited to) the following themes:
Experiential and networked learning models — Embedding social learning, mentoring, and co-working experiences into entrepreneurial curricula to foster authentic, practice-based entrepreneurship education.
AI and digital transformation in entrepreneurship education — Integrating artificial intelligence, data analytics, and platform-based learning ecosystems in the teaching and assessment design for entrepreneurship programmes.
Global and precarious contexts — Exploring entrepreneurship education amid automation, economic volatility, and evolving labour markets across diverse global settings.
Cross-disciplinary perspectives — Understanding entrepreneurial intentions and learning across business, STEM, law, and creative disciplines to foster holistic and transferable entrepreneurial competencies.
Sustainability and inclusion — Connecting entrepreneurship education to UN Sustainable Development Goals through ethical, inclusive, and socially responsible innovation frameworks.
