Géotechnique invites contributions on time-dependent soil behaviour—viscous effects (creep, relaxation, rate-dependency) and structural evolutions (degradation or ageing)—in multi-coupled contexts like thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) processes. Focus is on sustainable geotechnical design for extended lifetimes/reuse of structures, using advanced lab/field testing (tomography, geophysics), monitoring (optical fibre, remote sensing), numerical tools (THMC codes, DEM), and constitutive models.
