The American Nuclear Societyโs three journals are organizing a special issue to showcase cutting-edge research and technological advancements in cross-cutting capabilities that bridge fusion and fission science, technology, and engineering.
This Special Issue aims to explore the intersection of fusion and fission through advances in materials science, modeling and simulation, testing facilities, technology deployment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. By highlighting innovative capabilities and expanding their cross-cutting impact, the issue seeks to accelerate the deployment of both fusion and fission technologies and promote synergistic advancements across the nuclear energy sector.
The Special Issue welcomes contributions that develop novel methodologies, multi-purpose facilities, and collaborative approaches capable of enhancing both fusion and fission research and engineering applications.
