About the Special Issue

Emerging markets are experiencing a profound transformation driven by the convergence of digitalization and green transition. The integration of advanced digital technologies such as intelligent computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and automated platforms with low-carbon energy systems is creating new opportunities for sustainable growth, enhanced productivity, and economic resilience.

This digitalization-greenization synergy has the potential to improve trade competitiveness, attract investment, strengthen global value chain participation, and support inclusive development. At the same time, emerging economies face significant challenges related to regulatory frameworks, financing gaps, digital infrastructure access, energy security, and data governance.

This Special Issue seeks high-quality theoretical and empirical research examining the economic, financial, and trade-related implications of the digital-green transition in emerging markets.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that focus on the economic, financial, or trade dimensions of digitalization and green transition in emerging markets.

Submission Requirements:
• Manuscripts must be written in English and grammatically reviewed before submission.
• Maximum manuscript length: 8,000 words.
• Papers should employ rigorous theoretical, empirical, or applied methodologies relevant to economics, finance, and trade research.

Submission Process

When submitting through the EMFT submission portal:

• Select “Regular Issue/Symposium” as the submission category.
• Under “Special Issue or Article Collection Name,” choose “Digitalization-Greenization Synergy in Emerging Markets.”
