About the Special Issue
The European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (EJWOP) invites submissions for its Special Issue on "Leader Behaviours and their Perception across Organizational Levels."
This Special Issue examines one of the most significant debates in leadership research—how leaders' actual behaviours differ from how those behaviours are perceived across various organizational levels. While recent leadership scholarship has emphasized behavioural measurement over perceptual evaluations, understanding leadership effectiveness requires integrating both perspectives.
The issue seeks theoretical and empirical research that investigates how leader behaviours are enacted, interpreted, and evaluated across organizations, considering modern workplace dynamics, organizational hierarchies, polarized perceptions, and evolving work environments. Contributions should advance leadership theory while offering practical insights for leadership development, assessment, and organizational effectiveness.
