The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal invites high-quality submissions for its Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence, Employment Inequality, and the Future of Inclusive Work.
About the Special Issue
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming global labour markets, creating new opportunities while also intensifying concerns around employment inequality, job displacement, and algorithmic bias. As AI increasingly shapes recruitment, workforce planning, and organisational decision-making, underrepresented and minority groups may face disproportionate challenges due to occupational segregation, systemic bias, and unequal access to reskilling opportunities.
This Special Issue seeks empirical, theoretical, and conceptual research examining the relationship between AI, employment inequality, and inclusive work. It aims to advance understanding of how AI influences workforce diversity, fairness, hiring practices, organisational accountability, and long-term labour market outcomes, while identifying strategies that promote equitable and inclusive workplaces.
