Artificial Intelligence, Employment Inequality, and the Future of Inclusive Work

Journal: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal
Publisher: Emerald Publishing
Manuscript Submission Deadline: 15 July 2027

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal invites submissions for its Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence, Employment Inequality, and the Future of Inclusive Work.

About the Special Issue

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping global labor markets, bringing opportunities for innovation while also intensifying concerns around employment inequality, job displacement, and workplace inclusion. This Special Issue examines how AI-driven technologies may disproportionately affect women, minority groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underrepresented communities through hiring, promotion, automation, and workforce restructuring.

The issue seeks theoretical and empirical research that explores AI's impact on employment equity, algorithmic bias, reskilling, organizational accountability, and inclusive workforce development. Contributions offering practical solutions, comparative international perspectives, and evidence-based policy recommendations are particularly encouraged.
