About this Special Issue
Industry 5.0 marks a new management paradigm that prioritizes human‑centric, sustainable, and resilient leadership. Unlike Industry 4.0, which focused mainly on automation and efficiency, Industry 5.0 integrates technological advancement with human values. This special issue aims to advance understanding of how the human dimension—values, leadership, culture, and employee engagement—contributes to organizational sustainability in the AI age.
The issue invites research that explores how organizations can stay ethically grounded, socially responsible, and resilient while embracing AI and digital transformation. It emphasizes people‑centered strategies that align technological change with human well‑being, meaning at work, and long‑term sustainability. Submissions are welcome from management, ethics, sustainability studies, organizational behavior, and related disciplines, including conceptual, empirical, case‑based, and practice‑oriented contributions.
Scope & Theme Areas
Submissions are invited on, but not limited to, the following themes:
Human‑Centered Organizational Sustainability
How values, purpose, meaning, and employee well‑being support long‑term resilience in AI‑influenced environments.
