About the Special Issue
Diaspora, Indigenous, and Minority Education invites submissions for a Special Issue on "Teacher Education in the Context of Racialised Migration and Mobility."
This Special Issue explores how teacher education is increasingly shaped by migration, diaspora mobility, racialisation, demographic change, and Indigenous perspectives across diverse national contexts. It seeks to examine how teacher preparation programs influence who becomes a teacher, whose knowledge is valued, and how race, language, identity, and colonial histories shape professional legitimacy within education systems.
The issue encourages theoretical, empirical, methodological, comparative, and policy-oriented contributions that investigate the intersections of migration, diaspora, Indigeneity, racial justice, and teacher education while advancing equity, inclusion, and justice-centred educational practice.
