Overview
This special issue explores how AR, VR, MR, and metaverse platforms are changing heritage interpretation, education, and public engagement. It shifts the focus from pure visualization to the design of interactive, experiential systems and how those systems affect meaning-making, learning, and emotional response. The issue is especially interested in user-centered evaluation, inclusivity, and the long-term implications of immersive heritage environments.
