Hybrid and remote work have become defining features of contemporary workplaces, fundamentally reshaping leadership practices, managerial responsibilities, and employee experiences. As organizations increasingly adopt flexible work arrangements, managers are expected to lead dispersed teams, sustain collaboration and trust, support employee wellbeing, and balance flexibility with performance management.

This Article Collection seeks to advance critical and practice-oriented knowledge on how leadership, competence development, workplace learning, and organizational culture are being reconfigured in hybrid and remote work environments. It particularly focuses on the opportunities and challenges associated with digitally mediated work, including issues of inclusion, autonomy, surveillance, work-life balance, and employee wellbeing.
