Behaviour & Information Technology invites submissions for its Special Issue titled "Persuasive Technology 2026."
About the Special Issue
This Special Issue will feature selected papers from the 21st International Conference on Persuasive Technology (Persuasive Technology 2026). The issue aims to showcase recent advances in persuasive technologies, behaviour change support systems, and intelligent interactive systems that promote positive behavioural outcomes across diverse application domains.
The Special Issue focuses on emerging research in persuasive system design, personalization, human-computer interaction, generative AI, smart environments, and ethical considerations in digital persuasion.
Scope and Topics of Interest
Submissions may address, but are not limited to:
Persuasive systems design
Behaviour change support systems
Human interaction with persuasive systems, interfaces, and visualizations
Interactive agents and generative AI for persuasion
Tailored and personalized persuasive technologies

Submission Guidelines
Manuscript Submission Deadline: 01 September 2026
This Special Issue is by invitation only.
Invited submissions must include at least 35% new content beyond the original conference paper.
The additional content must present substantial new results and cannot consist solely of expanded literature review or discussion.
Authors should select "Persuasive Technology 2026" during manuscript submission through the journal's submission system.
