Key Requirements:
Abstract first: 250 words maximum, submitted directly to guest editors.
Invitation only: only accepted proposals can submit full manuscripts.
Review-oriented: reviews, syntheses, scoping reviews, meta-analyses, and narrative reviews are especially encouraged.
Non-U.S. studies are welcome and encouraged.
Scope
This issue covers research connecting policing with violent crime and violence, including police interventions, use of force, arrests, legitimacy, disparities, training, technology, police-community collaborations, and violence types such as homicide, gang violence, street violence, domestic and family violence, digital violence, and police-initiated violence. The journal especially welcomes research syntheses and comparative work across countries.
Submission Details
Send a 250-word abstract to the guest editors by 15 May 2026.
If accepted, submit the full manuscript by 31 Dec 2026.
Final editorial acceptance is listed for 30 Jun 2027.
Accepted papers should follow the journal’s author guidelines and fit the special issue’s violence-and-policing focus.
