Action Learning: Research and Practice invites high-quality submissions for its Special Issue on Action Learning in Asia.

About the Special Issue

This Special Issue aims to advance understanding of action learning across Asia, exploring how diverse cultural, institutional, and organizational contexts influence its design, facilitation, and outcomes. Building on previous research from countries including South Korea, China, Japan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Turkey, the issue also welcomes contributions from Asian countries not yet represented in the journal.

The editors encourage research that examines how local cultures shape action learning practices, highlighting distinctive approaches to learning, leadership, facilitation, and organizational development. Both theoretical insights and practical experiences are welcomed to strengthen the understanding of action learning within Asian contexts.

Submissions may include, but are not limited to:

Submission Information

  • Manuscript Submission Deadline: 01 October 2026

  • The Special Issue is scheduled for publication in March 2027.

  • Accepted papers will be published online ahead of print.

  • Authors are encouraged to submit outlines or abstracts and consult with the Guest Editors before preparing a full manuscript.

  • Manuscripts must follow the journal's official Instructions for Authors and be submitted through the journal's online submission system.
