About the Conference
The NASMEI (North American Society for Marketing Education in India) Conference, organised by the Kotler-Srinivasan Centre for Research in Marketing at Great Lakes, Chennai, is one of India’s premier international marketing research events. It brings together a distinguished mix of scholars, doctoral researchers, and marketing professionals from across India and around the globe. Attendees will engage in high-quality research presentations, meaningful networking, and dialogues around contemporary marketing issues.
This year, NASMEI 2025 provides a special focus on Marketing for Value Creation — for customers, firms, society, and sustainable futures.

Call for Papers
We are pleased to invite submissions for NASMEI 2025, covering all areas of marketing including but not limited to: consumer behaviour, digital marketing, branding, services marketing, sustainable marketing, marketing strategy, quantitative modelling, marketing analytics, and emerging topics.
Submission Guidelines – Extended Abstract
- Format: Microsoft Word, single-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman, 1-inch margins all around.
- Length: Up to 3 pages including references.
- The abstract must include a representative list of references.

Publication Opportunities
Selected papers presented at NASMEI 2025 will be invited for consideration in:
- Journal of Consumer Marketing (ABDC A-category, Emerald Publishing)
- Authors must include a footnote stating: “An earlier version of this paper was presented at the Great Lakes NASMEI Marketing Conference.”
- Journal of Global Marketing (ABDC B-category)
- Full papers up to 25 pages (including references) in Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman 12pt, double-spaced, 1-inch margins.
- Format: APA 7th Edition.
- Deadline for full-paper submission: 30 November 2025.
Doctoral & Early-Career Workshop
Theme for 2025: Marketing and Creating Value
This workshop invites PhD/FPM scholars and early-career faculty to engage in focused research development sessions on how marketing creates value for multiple stakeholders. Anchor faculty drawn from global top schools will provide insights into consumer behaviour, marketing strategy, services, and modelling.
Full research grant proposal deadline: 31 October 2025
Proposals (max 10 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12pt, 1-inch margins) should cover: literature review, motivation, research questions/hypotheses, expected contributions, proposed methodology, preliminary data (if any), timeline, and itemised budget.
Top-rated proposals will be invited to present at the conference and award winners will be announced at the event.
Research Grants
- For doctoral students: Award of ₹ 1 Lakh each to the top three research proposals (principal investigator must be PhD/FPM student registered in India).
- For faculty members: “Bala and Vasantha Balachandran Research Grant Award” of ₹ 1 Lakh each to the top three faculty proposals (principal investigator must be faculty of an Indian B-School).
- This is a unique opportunity to secure funding and recognition for marketing research with high potential impact.
