ServiceSetu Academics is pleased to share an excellent publication opportunity for researchers, faculty members, doctoral scholars, and practitioners working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Media, Sustainability, and Innovation.

A prestigious edited volume by Springer Nature invites chapter submissions for β€œThe Green Algorithm: Sustainable Futures in AI, Media, and Innovation.” This book aims to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives to critically examine the sustainability implications of AI-driven transformations.

πŸ“– About the Book

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping economies, governance systems, and societal structures. However, beyond the narratives of efficiency and innovation, there exist deeper concerns that demand attention:

  • High energy consumption of AI systems (significantly higher than traditional systems)

  • Rapid increase in e-waste and resource depletion

  • Ethical challenges including data labour, privacy, and governance gaps

  • Underrepresentation of these issues in mainstream media discourse

This edited volume moves beyond the simplistic view of AI as either a solution or a threat. Instead, it explores the complex relationship between AI innovation, sustainability imperatives, and media representation, offering a nuanced and interdisciplinary understanding .

The book will include case studies, policy insights, and analytical frameworks from both Global South and Global North perspectives, making it highly relevant for academia, industry, and policymaking.
