BAM Research Grant Schemes 2025 – Apply Now!
The British Academy of Management (BAM) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Research Grant Schemes, designed to support innovative, ethical, and high-impact research in business and management. These grants aim to foster a thriving research community and enhance the capabilities of scholars at different stages of their careers.
🔹 Available Grant Schemes & Funding
1️⃣ BAM Transitions 1 Research Grant Scheme
📌 Funding: Maximum £6,000 (for up to 2 projects)
📌 Eligibility:
✔ Open to early career researchers with a doctorate.
✔ Established researchers may apply as Co-Investigators, provided they support the development of early career researchers.
📌 Purpose: Supports empirical research that advances business and management scholarship while enhancing the research skills of early-career scholars.
2️⃣ BAM Transitions 2 Research Grant Scheme
📌 Funding: Maximum £6,000 (for up to 2 projects)
📌 Eligibility:
✔ Open to established researchers with a doctorate.
📌 Purpose: Enables experienced researchers to develop empirical research that advances management scholarship and enhances their research capabilities.
3️⃣ BAM Management Knowledge & Education (MKE) Research Grant Scheme
📌 Funding: Maximum £6,000 (for up to 2 projects)
📌 Eligibility:
✔ Open to researchers with a doctorate or equivalent research experience.
📌 Purpose: Supports research that contributes to theoretical and philosophical insights into management knowledge and education (MKE), with practical implications for management educators.
📌 Important Information
✔ Current and incoming BAM Executive and Grant Awards Committee members are not eligible to apply.
✔ Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators can only submit one proposal across the 2025 BAM Research Grant Schemes (except as a mentor).
✔ All UK-based applicants (Principal & Co-Investigators) must be active BAM Members at the time of application.

📅 Updated Timeline & Deadlines
🗓️ Monday, 25th November 2024 – Word application form and call documents available. Register on the BAM Grants Portal: https://bam.grantplatform.com/
🗓️ Tuesday, 3rd December 2024 – Online application form available.
🗓️ Thursday, 27th March 2025 (17:00 UK Time) – Final deadline for application submission in the BAM Grants Portal.
🗓️ Thursday, 3rd April 2025 (17:00 UK Time) – Deadline for Heads of Department/Institutional Approvers to approve the application.
