About Candidate

am a passionate researcher and engineer with a strong academic foundation and diverse professional experience in tribology, material science, and nanoscale characterization. My journey began with a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where my research delved into the nanoscale tribological behavior of near-eutectic Al-Si alloys. Leveraging advanced tools like Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), I uncovered insights into friction, wear, and lubrication mechanisms at the micro and nano scales.

As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague, I explored nanotribology and surface properties of 2D materials, including Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs). My work included publishing research in high-impact journals, collaborating internationally, and maintaining state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. Prior to this, I contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor, teaching core mechanical engineering subjects while mentoring students on research projects.

Beyond academia, I gained hands-on industrial experience as a Maintenance Engineer at DCM Rayons, India, where I developed SOPs, ensured ISO 9000 compliance, and optimized equipment performance. These varied roles have honed my expertise in materials characterization, coatings, thin films, and tribological performance enhancement.

Looking ahead, I aim to advance my career by contributing to innovative projects in material science and tribology. I am particularly interested in exploring the intersection of nanotechnology and sustainable materials. I am eager to collaborate with professionals, industries, and academic institutions to drive meaningful advancements in my field.

Let’s connect to discuss research, innovation, and opportunities to make a difference in material science and engineering.

PhD 2021
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DELHI

During my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, my research focused on the in situ micro-scale tribology of near eutectic Al-Si alloy under boundary lubricated conditions. This involved using advanced characterization tools like Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). I investigated the nanoscale mechanical and tribological properties of metallic materials with various lubricant additives. My work provided insights into friction, wear, and deformation mechanisms at small length scales, contributing to the development of more effective lubricant formulations. I also collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, published research in international journals, and presented findings at conferences, enhancing my expertise in materials science and tribology.

M.TECH 2014
MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY BHOPAL

At Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (NIT) Bhopal, my research for the Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering focused on examining the wear characteristics of Al2014 and Al2014/SiC composites. I investigated how contact load and sliding speed influenced wear, using a Pin on Disc testing machine. The materials were produced through the stir casting route, and my work provided valuable insights into the tribological behavior of these composites. This research contributed to the understanding of material performance in various engineering applications, specifically enhancing knowledge in tribology and wear mechanisms. My efforts culminated in a project that combined theoretical analysis with practical experimentation, laying a strong foundation for my subsequent research endeavors.

B.TECH 2011
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING KOTA

I completed my Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota from 2007 to 2011. My coursework covered core mechanical engineering subjects, providing a solid foundation in areas such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, material science, and manufacturing processes. With a strong academic performance, I achieved a percentage of 71.1%. During my studies, I developed a keen interest in materials engineering and tribology, which later guided my postgraduate research focus. Additionally, I participated in various technical workshops and seminars, enhancing my practical understanding of mechanical engineering principles. This comprehensive education equipped me with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for advanced studies and professional success in the field.
